Technical Support Engineer (m/f)

We are a small, professional and highly motivated team, offering you a dynamic environment. With our OMICRON office in Cergy we focus on all sales and marketing activities in the French and French speaking African market. OMICRON is a technology leader in the field of portable test sets for protective relays in utilities and industry. We are currently expanding into the field of test equipment for primary equipment. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person with the right attitude, willing to make a difference and integrate with our organisation and its values.
After a training period in Austria, you will be in charge of:
- The technical interface between OMICRON France and our Austrian headquarters
- Supporting the maintenance and development of customer specific software for the French market
- Providing technical support, primarily for France and French speaking markets
- Review of the French language in technical documents
Your profile:
- Electrical engineer (with or without experience) or experienced technician
- General knowledge of power systems, especially in the fields of power system protection and network equipment
- Programming experience with Visual Basic is a plus
- Good oral presentation skills
- Readiness to travel (up to 20 % of time) in France and abroad
- Fluency in written and spoken French, good level of English. A knowledge of German is also advantageous
- Enjoy working in a small team environment
