Applications
Typical Applications are digital Distance Relay testing or testing of transformer operated energy meters (see also Option EP). Due to its reliability, weight and size the CMC 156 is also the first choice of commissioning engineers travelling all over the world. Signal generation is performed digitally (DPS technology). The 16-bit D/A conversion results in a high quality signal event at small signal amplitudes.
Furter Information
In addition to the six outputs of the amplifier section, six independent channels with low-level signals are available at the back of the unit. They can be used to control external amplifiers for applications requiring more than three voltage or current phases, e.g., testing of differential relays, or applications requiring higher currents or voltages.
